This project transformed a residential entryway into a native landscape that combined visual appeal with environmental benefit. The goal was to create a pollinator-friendly garden using low-maintenance native Pennsylvanian plants that enhance the property’s natural character.
Project Type: Pollinator and Native Landscape Design
Role: Design-Build
Scope: Design and Installation
Duration: 1 Month
Services: Design · Site Evaluation · Site Preparation · Planting
Design & Process
Next Nature curated a plant palette emphasizing texture, color, and seasonal interest. Soft Pennsylvania sedge lined the walkway, creating a gentle transition toward groupings of coneflowers, ox-eyed sunflowers, and Joe Pye weed. These native species were chosen for their hardiness and ability to attract bees and butterflies, contributing to a balanced and sustainable ecosystem.
Results & Impact
The completed design established a thriving pollinator corridor that complements the home’s entry while providing ecological value. The garden’s natural rhythm now supports native pollinators throughout the growing season and stands as a model for how intentional design can connect form, function, and conservation.
