Design & Process

Next Nature began by surveying and preparing the area through tilling and soil management to prevent the reemergence of turf grass. The design incorporated a diverse native seed mix selected for its hardiness and ability to thrive in local conditions. Using AutoCAD planning and field mapping, the team created a layout that maintained the respectful tone of the cemetery while supporting biodiversity and natural beauty.

Results & Impact

The completed restoration introduced a sustainable prairie ecosystem within the cemetery grounds, setting a new standard for environmentally conscious landscape management. The transformation not only beautified the space but also demonstrated how conservation practices can coexist with tradition, offering a meaningful example for similar institutions.
